Crazy Registration Period

At UNC-CH, and probably at many other schools, registration period is stressful and crazy. Today, I went to class and listened to everyone talk about classes for next semester. The teacher knew some of us had registration during the class period, and he allowed us to have our laptops out. I felt bad for him, however, because most of the people in the class were not paying attention to him. Mostly everyone was discussing the stressfulness of registration. Classes that had already been filled with students or classes that had been changed to wait list were the reasons for craziness in the classroom.

Now, I am sitting in a building waiting for my 1:00 p.m. class, and everyone around me has their laptops open, searching for classes or waiting on their assigned time to enroll. It seems like no upcoming Junior will be stress-free until the end of the day. Then, the stress will be passed to the upcoming sophomores--hoping that the classes they picked are not already taken by the many students above them.

Good luck Juniors and Sophomores of UNC-CH, and may the enrollment odds be ever in your favor.
